Under the direction of the Office of Safe Environment for Archdiocese of Hartford, all volunteers in parish ministry and catechists must complete the following prior to serving.
1. Complete the Background Check Form and return to the parish office for submission to AOHCT.
2. Sign the, "Acknowledgement of Receipt for the Archdiocese of Hartford Safe Environment Handbook", (Page 30) and return the parish office.

3. Complete the online VIRTUS training at home through The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc. website. https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/reg_list2.cfm?theme=0 ( select Hartford CT Archdiocese)
There is no need to turn in a certificate of VIRTUS training, as it is electronically recorded by the AOHCT.
